Dear parents
As always, I hope this update finds you all safe and well.
First of all, a big thank you for your continued support with the remote learning for your child/children. As previously mentioned, we do understand how challenging this is and we greatly appreciate all of your efforts and hard work.
As a school, we continually reflect on the provision we have in place during this challenging time, to see if we can amend or update it to ensure we are providing the best education possible for our wonderful children.
In light of this, from Monday 25th January, we will be offering an optional
DAILY ZOOM MEETING for children in Year 1-6 with their class teacher. Children in Ms Lilley's Class will continue to access the two meetings that are currently in place (Monday morning and Friday afternoon).
The additional meetings will begin at 9:00am prompt and will last approximately 20 minutes. Mrs Appleby's meetings will begin at 9:30am prompt.
The purpose of the meetings is for teachers to go through the daily learning and activities in more detail to support children's understanding. Teachers may go through examples, show a video or power point or other strategies they deem fit to explain the learning for that day. As we have previously eluded to, we are aware that all family circumstances are different so please do not worry if your child cannot access all of the Zoom meetings offered. The daily support on Class Dojo from Class Teachers will still be available.
I believe these additional Zoom Meetings will be very beneficial for our children and parents. As always, children who are accessing our Key Worker provision in school, will have access to these meetings.
Parents and children will find the daily Zoom invite on Class Dojo under their Class Story. The Zoom Meeting on a Friday morning (for children Year 1-6) will be extended slightly as this will be also focused on emotional well-being, where children can have a chat and see their friends. Therefore, to confirm, from Monday 25th January, the children will have access to
FIVE Zoom meetings per week.
Many thanks and I'm sure this extra provision will strengthen the already excellent remote learning we have in place.
Take care and stay safe.
Kind regards
Mr Appleby
