Update and Zoom meetings

A Melrose Learning Trust School
Good afternoon everyone As you are aware Zoom meetings will be taking place next week and I’m sure all of the children are looking forward to them. I know the teachers most definitely are! At the end of the Zoom meeting next Wednesday, teachers will be setting a small project for the children to complete. This could be based be based on a theme, a key question, something practical, something topical, Sport, Science, RE, geography, history, new learning, prior learning etc. The projects will not be reliant on a huge amount of adult input, we want it to be more something children can complete independently with little support (obviously for our youngest children they will need some level of support). Children will have two weeks to complete the project.  Part of the next zoom meeting (on Wednesday 1st July) would then give children an opportunity to show their project and receive praise, feedback and recognition from class teachers. They could also show it to their friends in the meeting.  The project will be optional, however teachers will be strongly encouraging children to take part. Please ensure children/parents for our younger children have something to record what their mini project when teachers announce this  during the Zoom meeting. Many thanks everyone. Stay safe and take care. Mr Appleby
