Information from Easington Academy for our Year 6 children – 08/06/20

A Melrose Learning Trust School
Hello Year 6, Firstly, I would like to thank everyone who has logged on to their Office 365 account and sent an email. The staff have been really impressed with your emails and especially how you have been keeping yourselves busy during lockdown. We have loved hearing from you and those who sent us an email have now received their first digital certificate for their IT skills. You can collect a digital certificate each week for the work that we send you. If you collect them all then you will be entered into a prize draw at the end of term. Week 2 - this week the work is focused around how you feel about moving to Easington Academy.  You may have seen some of the postcards from Year 7 students about how they felt when they moved to our school. If you have not seen them yet you can have a look by clicking on this link. http://www.easingtonacademy.co.uk/_filecache/53d/aca/13789-easington-transition-postcards.pdf Once you have looked at the postcards and jotted down some of your feelings you can use these in our work for this week. Our art project will combine your feelings and our building. I have provided the links for the powerpoint that has audio that describes what the task is. There is then a video which explains how to carry out the work. You can also access the powerpoint and video on our transition page of our website https://tinyurl.com/y7b8g8mo Once you have created your art work we would love it if you could take a picture of it and email it to us at transition@easingtonacademy.co.uk We will then forward all your work to our Head of Art, Miss Lisgo who will award you your digital certificate.  Good luck Year 6 - we are really looking forward to seeing your pictures.
