Important message to parents – 29/05/20

Hello everyone, As always I hope this update finds you safe and well. It is now 10 weeks since we were instructed to close our wonderful school. Teachers are missing the children greatly and are eager to make contact with them. Therefore from Wednesday 3rd June, teachers will be ringing every child in their class for a weekly catch up. This will continue every Wednesday until further notice. Parents will receive a call from an unknown number at some point on a Wednesday, so please answer if you are able to do so. Teachers will try to contact parents again if they are unsuccessful the first time. A voicemail will be left if the teacher is unable to speak to your child. I fully appreciate how busy everyone is in these challenging times. If you miss both calls then please don’t worry. Simply email the school email address with an alternative contact time. I fully appreciate children may be upset if they miss the opportunity to speak to their class teacher. I’m sure the children will be as excited about this news as the teachers are! Some of our teachers are good talkers so I can see some conversations lasting a while! Many thanks everyone. Take care and stay safe. Mr. Appleby

Peterlee Fire Station visit to school – March 2023
