Family Friday Stay and Play Event

A Melrose Learning Trust School
I think today was busiest Family Friday/Stay and Play event we have ever hosted! It was wonderful to see so many parents and family members enjoying working alongside their children. I saw children and adults working in partnership across school. In Ms Lilley’s class children enjoyed our outdoor learning space and shared books under twinkling lights. Miss Wiseman’s class shared their favourite books and admired the amazing tray gardens that children made yesterday. More reading in Mrs Hetherington’s class with a challenge - I think some adults learned something too! In Mr Appleby’s class parents and children worked together to apply their reasoning skills and solve problems. In Mrs Appleby’s class children were preparing for our Community Breakfast on Tuesday in aid of Christian Aid – we hope to see you there. Thank you to those who were able to join us this morning. Thank you also to all staff who work so hard to ensure our school is the best it can be. A proud Head Teacher, Mrs Swift.
