Drop off and collection update

A Melrose Learning Trust School
Dear parents, From tomorrow, the main double gate at the top of the staff car park will be locked during drop off and collection times (8.30-9am and 3.00-3.30pm). Parents and children must access the school using the side gate. After numerous polite requests for parents and carers not to use the staff car park, unfortunately this is still occurring by a minority of people.  Therefore, from tomorrow, the bollard will be put up at 8.30am and 3.00pm so there will be no access to the staff car park.  As mentioned previously, when dropping children off for Breakfast Club and picking up from After School Clubs, parents are not allowed to use the staff car park.  At the current time of year with dark nights upon us, it is essential that this be adhered to.  Any parents who do not follow this will be challenged by myself or another member of staff and will have to move their vehicle immediately.  Whoever is dropping off or collecting your child from school eg other family members, need to be aware of this update so please pass on this information.  I know the car parking issues does not apply to the vast majority of our parents, however after previous requests have not been listened to, I feel there is no other course of action I can take to ensure the safety of our school community. Kind regards, Mr Appleby
