Monday 17th October – NEW TIME 12.45pm
As you may remember, we have been invited to support the Children in Need Rickshaw Challenge as it passes our school on Monday 17
th October. We have been informed that it will now pass around 12.45pm rather than 2.20pm as originally planned.
We intend to have an early lunch for the children that day to allow us to be outside waiting from around 12.30pm. There is a tracker we can access to get a more accurate time on the day. We hope families will join us in supporting the riders from the roadside in front of our school and we will keep up updated regarding their expected arrival time via Teachers2parents on the day.
We would love for the children to dress up on Monday to support this fantastic cause
Some ideas are:
- Go spotty! Come into school wearing anything spot-related
- Wear yellow
- Be a Super-hero
- Wear pyjamas
Don’t forget children will need to bring a coat too as we will be standing outside for a while.
We have created an event on ParentPay, so if you would like to donate to this cause, you can online by accessing your ParentPay account. We will also have collection buckets on the day if children want to drop coins in there.
We hope to see families there on the day to give a big Easington C of E welcome as Matt Baker and the riders pass our school. We will be working on bunting, posters and huge banners for the children to hold as the Rickshaw passes. Pusdsey pictures have been sent home this week if you would like to colour them in to wave on the day.
We are so excited that our children will get to see this amazing sight and you never know, we may even feature in the documentary, The Great Rickshaw Relay, which will air on BBC1 on 15
th November at 8pm.
Thank you as always for your support and we can’t wait to show everyone just how special our children are
My very best wishes as always,
Mrs Bowden-Stoker
