Changes to school hours – Friday afternoons

A Melrose Learning Trust School
Dear parents/carers, Following the correspondence sent out on Friday 8th October, I am writing to comfirm that the time period set for feedback regarding the proposed changes to the school hours on a Friday has now ended. I can now confirm that from 1st January 2022 children will finish school at 3.15pm (EYFS and KS1) and 3.25pm (KS2) on a Friday in line with the rest of the week. I would like to thank those parents who provided feedback.  Hopefully you will agree that this is another positive step forward in providing our wonderful children with the best education possible. A finalised timetable will be sent out in the last week of the autumn term outlining start and finish times for each class which will begin from the spring term. Many thanks for your support with this process and I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a restful and enjoyable half term break. Best wishes,   Mr Appleby Head Teacher
