Change of plan for Pudsey

A Melrose Learning Trust School
As you all know, on Monday 17th October we were expecting to cheer on the Rickshaw Challenge from outside of our school. Unfortunately this afternoon, we have been informed that due to human error at the Rickshaw Offices, the route is not passing us and is actually passing Easington Lane Primary School. We were absolutely devastated to hear this news today as we know all of our children were so excited to be visited by Pudsey and see the Rickshaw. We were adamant our children would not be disappointed and we have arranged to view the Rickshaw Challenge convoy on part of its route through Seaham. With the amazing help from Snowdons Coaches, we have been able to organise transportation for our Year 1 - Year 6 children and staff.  We cannot express how grateful we are for their kindness and generosity. Unfortunately, at this time we do not feel it is appropriate to take the Reception children to this event, in these circumstances.  Our Reception children will be fully immersed in our Children in Need celebrations in school and we are also working hard to secure a special visitor. ALL children are still invited to dress up on Monday. YEAR 1-6 PARENTS - please could you text back YES to the message you have received with this link if you are happy for your child to attend.  We hold consent forms for all children to attend educational visits and we will be travelling to and from Seaham in a coach.
