A message for our September 2020 Reception parents – 10/6/2020

A Melrose Learning Trust School
Good Evening Everyone, I hope this message finds you safe and well. I would like to apologise for the delay in providing any further correspondence. Rest assured you have not been far from our thoughts but as you can hopefully appreciate we are currently in a very challenging and unprecedented situation. We will finally be returning to some normality on Monday 15th June and then we will resume our communication with you, which will involve:
  • delivering a full school welcome pack to your home address.
  • a chance to virtually see and meet your child’s class teacher.
  • a virtual tour of your child’s classroom and outdoor area.
As well as this, next week Ms Lilley will be having transition meetings with all of the nurseries to learn more about your wonderful children. I would also like to confirm that when we are able to do so, we will be hosting an open afternoon/evening for all of our new Reception parents. I will also be contacting parents on an individual basis by telephone next week to formally introduce myself and answer any questions or queries you may have. This will be followed in the coming weeks by a phone call from your child’s class teacher, Ms Lilley. Many thanks for your patience and understanding. We genuinely cannot wait to meet all of our new families that are joining us in September. Kind regards and best wishes, Mr Appleby, Staff and Governors
