We strive to strengthen our relationships with others as part of God's family. We are a place of distinctive excellence where all are valued as individuals. We achieve this by involving our children in a lively and relevant curriculum.
REMINDER: On Monday, March 3rd, between 2:30 PM and 5:00 PM, we will be hosting a Museum Exhibition at Easington C of E Primary School to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the end of the Miner’s Strike.
Our students have worked incredibly hard to create exhibits for the museum, which ...we are excited to share with the community. The event will feature notable guests, including representatives from Beamish Museum, and the Easington Colliery Brass Band.
We look forward to seeing you all there!!
Yesterday we were so lucky to have Heather visit our school to tell us all about life in Easington and the Miners strike and to show us her artefacts! It was simply an amazing day.
Heather then sent the following message after her visit:
“I had a wonderful time today in ...school, what amazing staff and pupils I had the privilege to meet.
I am so proud to be associated with each and every one of you.
Each year group asked so many questions and were equally knowledgeable about our mining heritage.
I would be very grateful if you could post my thanks to both parents and staff for moulding such amazing children who I believe have been given every opportunity to grow into caring adults and ambassadors for our area.
I look forward to 3rd March when the children’s work will be on display for all to see.

We were delighted to welcome our PCSO's into school this afternoon to deliver some Online Safety Workshops to our Upper Key Stage 2 children.
There were some very important messages delivered to our children regarding how to stay safe online and what actions to take if they ever feel... uneasy or uncomfortable about anything they say or hear.
A very worthwhile session.
Happy, Healthy and Fulfilled.
Hi everyone
Please see below an exciting event that is taking place in our school on the first Monday back after half-term ☺️
Good afternoon,
This year is the 40th anniversary of the official end of the Miner’s Strike in 1985. We believe it is an extremely important event for our school and our community to remember.
All children will be involved in completing a project in school around the mining ...heritage of Easington before half term.
On Monday 3rd March we will be opening a ‘museum exhibition’ of all the children’s work and other artefacts and information. We would love to invite families and community members into school to celebrate the children’s hard work. The exhibition will run from 2.30pm until 5pm. We would love to see you there!
If any of our families or members of the community would like to share their stories, photographs or artefacts with us for our museum exhibition, please contact the school for further information.
Many Thanks
Miss Defty
Our EYFS children and Y3/4 children had a fantastic morning at The Oriental Museum in Durham.
Children learnt all about the origins of the Chinese New Year 🐍🐒🐐🐀🐅🐇🐓🐂🐉 and the Shang Dynasty. 🇨🇳 The children were engaged all morning and the activities really ...brought their learning to life.
As always, the children's behaviour was fantastic and they represented our school beautifully.
Happy, Healthy and Fulfilled ☺️
Despite numerous requests regarding illegal and dangerous parking at drop off and collection times, it still remains a huge issue. Although only a minority of people are choosing to do this, it is having a massive impact on the safety of our school community.
Please see below some ...important messages regarding parking safely outside of our school.
Once again, your co-operation and support with this would be much appreciated and please feel free to share the messages below.
Thank you for your support.

What a brilliant addition to our curriculum Forest School has been! Katherine from Sc.out.ed comes in every week and works with our wonderful children. They really look forward to it and learn lots of essential skills outside of the classroom.
This half term it's our Y3 and Y4 ...children who are taking part each week. Today they have been learning about local wildlife and have made their own hedgehogs out of clay and built shelters to keep their hedgehogs warm and cosy 🦔🦔🌲🌲
We develop the whole child at our school, which is something we are very proud of.
Happy, Healthy and Fulfilled ☺️☺️☺️

Heather Wood”
